SOME OF THE THINGS WE HAVE ACHIEVED RECENTLY: - |
|
1. Contributed to surfacing to cover
dangerous tree routes on Rosamond Hill Bridleway on Stansted Estate. 2. Objected at Public Enquiry to diversion of bridleway at West Marden Hall, West Marden. Unfortunately, the inspector found in favour of applicant’s privacy above safety of bridleway users. Applicant has now sold property and has achieved increase in value of property by moving Right of Way. 3. Following up application for bridleway along Portsdown Hill, part of which is a Registered Common, and should be open to rides. Matter being pursued with P.C.C. and F.B.C. Portsmouth and Fareham. 4. Successful bid raising £12,000 from Landfill Tax to resurface bridleway off Whiches Gates Road, Rowlands Castle. Funds also raised by local rides. H.C.C. requirements have caused embarrassing delays in the implementation of this project. 5. Permitted track, parallel to road opposite Forestside Farm, Forestside, with volunteer contributions for signs and fencing and volunteer labour to clear route. 6. Drainage and surface works to bridleway Monument Lane, near Westbourne. £2,350.00 in total paid by Group out of funds and money raised by local riding school. Permission obtained from South Downs Joint Board who felt unable to do surface maintenance in the foreseeable future. |
